January anniversaries

A happy New Year to the Luccinatics all around the world! All the best for 2014!

At the beginning of each month, we look back at TV premieres, appearances at conventions, and other key dates in Luciana’s public life that occurred this month one or more years ago.

As many TV series begin their seasons in January, this is a busy month, but there’s more than just TV premieres:

  • January 13, 2002: Luciana first appears as fun-loving Tanya on the comedy series The Chris Isaak Show — in episode 2.02 “The Devil Made Me Do It”. This became her biggest recurring role aside of BSG, very early in her career, and Luciana still loves that part a lot. (screen caps of this episode – but beware, these are sexy pics)
  • January 18, 2004: The made-for-TV comedy I Want to Marry Ryan Banks premieres on US TV (screen caps – again, quite sexy)
  • January 18 and 25, 2004: The pilot for TV series The L Word and the the second episode, “Let’s Do It”, air. (screen caps)
  • January 3, 2005: Luciana’s second episode of Battlestar Galactica, “The Hand of God” premieres on Sky One in Great Britain (where season one episodes were shown before they aired in the US).
  • January 1, 2006: Luciana has a guest appearance in the episode “Love Hurts” of Killer Instinct.
  • January 6 and 20, 2006: The Battlestar Galactica season two episodes “Resurrection Ship: Part 1” and “Epiphanies” with Luciana as Kat premiere on Sci Fi.
  • January 2009: Galactica Watercooler conducts a phone interview with Luciana. She chats about Kat’s relationship with Starbuck, and her feelings on set, amongst other things.
  • January 16-18, 2009: Luciana attends a BSGcast frak party and the first live BSG prop auctions in Pasadena.
  • January 29, 2013: The NCIS: Los Angeles episode “The Chosen One” airs, with Luciana guest starring as Gloria Seggara. (Posts on this blog)
