July anniversaries

At the beginning of each month, we look back at TV premieres, appearances at conventions, and other key dates in Luciana’s public life that occurred this month one or more years ago.

Many TV episodes with Luciana premiered in July, and she also attended several conventions:

  • July 2 and 9, 2002: The episodes “Isaakland” and “Charity Begins at Home” of the television series The Chris Isaak Show premiere. Luciana plays Tanya, the on/off girlfriend of one of the main characters. (Fanboard discussion).
  • July 15 and 22, 2005: The second season of Battlestar Galactica premieres on the SciFi Channel with the episode “Scattered” on July 15, and Luciana returns as Viper pilot Louanne “Kat” Katraine, her most prominent role so far. The story of this episode is continued a week later with “Valley of Darkness”, where Kat and her comrades have to face Cylon centurions aboard Galactica. (BSG section on the Fanboard)
  • July 18-19, 2009: Luciana attends Hollywood Show in Burbank, California. (Hollywood Show posts on this blog)
  • July 23-26, 2009: The San Diego Comic Con takes place with a lot of Battlestar Galactica and Caprica cast and crew in attendance. Besides Luciana, James Callis, David Eick, Jane Espenson, Kevin Grazier, Richard Hatch, Micheal Hogan, Bear McCreary, Ron Moore, Esai Morales, Edward James Olmos, Tahmoh Penikett, Katee Sackhoff and Raya Yarbrough visited the event.   • July 8+22, 2012: The Falling Skies episodes “Molon Labe” and “Love and Other Acts of Courage” premiere on TNT with Luciana as resistance fighter Crazy Lee. (Falling Skies posts on this blog)
  • July 12-15, 2012: Luciana again attends San Diego Comic Con, other Battlestar Galactica guests are Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan and Tahmoh Penikett. (San Diego Comic Con posts on this blog)
